Renting Tools from Northside Tool Rental Is Easy

While owning your own construction equipment might seem handy for your weekend projects, there are plenty of reasons to rent. Renting means you don’t have to find places to store heavy equipment. A rental company will also do the maintenance work on the equipment for you! It’s also far less expensive to rent certain types of equipment than purchase them outright – especially for specialty units.

Northside Tool Rental offers a wide selection of tools for both residential and professional uses. If you’re a first-time customer and want to learn more about our rental process – including rates, trouble with rented equipment, and late return policies – keep reading!

How the Rental Process Works

Reservations for equipment can be made as far in advance as you’d like, and do not require a deposit.

Once you’ve chosen which equipment you will be renting from our selection, you’ll put in the request for reservation on our website. The reservation screen will look much like the example below.

Simply enter your name, e-mail and contact phone number. Fill in your desired rental start date and length of time you’ll be using the unit. Lastly, select whether you will be picking up the unit or having it delivered to your site. Enter in any Promo codes in the bottom box!

You can also call us at any of our five Metro Atlanta locations to reserve your equipment. You don’t need to prepay or put down a deposit. All we need is your name and the equipment you need. We also don’t charge cancellation fees!

To rent your equipment, we will need a Valid ID (a driver’s license or passport). You must be 18 or over to rent any equipment.

We’ll also require a Credit Card. It’s important to note that the name on the credit card name must be yours. This means you can’t use your boss’s card, your co-worker or friend’s card, or your spouse’s card.

We offer Delivery and Pickup services to most Metro Atlanta locations. Our prices vary depending on the type of equipment and the distance.

Fuel is required for some of our equipment – and don’t worry, all of our equipment comes fully fueled so you can start working on your project right away! Our fuel is charged in one of two ways.

Tanks Under 3 Gallons – Charge is a non-refundable flat rate. We ask that you do not refuel these units yourself.

Tanks Over 3 Gallons – We charge per gallon used, or you can refuel the equipment yourself instead! If you haven’t used all the fuel in a unit when you return it, we refund you for the unused fuel upon return.

You will also be required to participate in our Damage Protection Program. This is a mandatory program which helps protect you against theft or unintentional damage of your rented equipment. You can read more about this program here.

Last but not least, you will sign our Rental Contract. When you rent from Northside Tool Rental, you are entering into a legally binding contract with us. If you’d like to review this material at any time, you can always find our contract here.

Rental Rates and Periods

Rent is charged for the time the equipment is out. Some equipment can be rented by the hour. Other equipment can be rented on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Rates vary depending on the specific type of equipment. Some equipment contain Hour meters, and these have usage limitations. See the chart below for a full breakdown of our rental types and times.

Type of Rental Length of Rental Max Hours
Hourly Only available for Certain Equipment. 8 Hours
Daily 1 Overnight Period – Due back by the end of the following day. 8 Hours
Weekly 7 Consecutive Days. 40 Hours
Monthly 28 Consecutive Days. 160 Hours

For equipment fitted with Hours meters, any overages will be charged extra for Overtime usage.

Weather and Your Rental

For weekly and monthly rentals, we offer Weather Protection. This means that if it rains during your rental week, we’ll add an extra day to the end of your rental’s week at no extra charge. This gives you 1 day per week for weekly rentals, and 4 extra days for monthly rentals. It’s important to note that these extra days do not count as credits towards rental fees.

Having Trouble With Your Equipment?

Sometimes, people will have trouble using their equipment. Please call us as soon as you can. We’ll gladly replace your unit and adjust your rental period for the time not used. If you ordered a delivery, we’ll deliver you a new unit. If you picked up directly from the store, you can bring the unit to the original pickup location.

Despite our best efforts, tools sometimes fail while on site. We do not hold you responsible for these rare instances as long as you call us as soon as possible to let us know.

Late Equipment Returns

We know that projects run late, vehicle trouble can happen, weather can cause delays, or any number of other reasons. We can happily extend your rental period using the credit card you presented for the rental – just let us know!

We also offer a Rental Purchase Program. Love the tool you’ve rented? We proudly offer a Rental Purchase Program so that you can make that unit yours!
